We are seeking a talented and versatile 2D Graphic Designer to join our growing team. This role requires a unique blend of skills, encompassing traditional print design, large-format environmental graphics, motion graphics (a plus) and a foundational understanding of web and online visual principles. The ideal candidate will be a creative problem-solver with an exceptional eye for detail, capable of translating complex ideas into compelling visual solutions across various mediums, bring our clients brand to life.
Roles and Responsibilities
Print Design:
- Design and produce a wide range of print materials, including brochures, flyers, posters, reports, advertisements, packaging, and other marketing collateral.
- Prepare print-ready files with meticulous attention to color accuracy, resolution, and bleed specifications.
- Collaborate with printers and vendors to ensure high-quality output and adherence to brand guidelines.
- Maintain an organized system for project files and assets.
Environmental Graphics:
- Develop designs for large-scale environmental graphics, such as wayfinding signage, murals, wall graphics, exhibition displays, stage sets and vehicle wraps.
- Understand material specifications, fabrication processes, and installation considerations for various environmental applications.
- Create mock-ups and renderings to visualize environmental graphic concepts in 3D spaces.
- Work closely with 3D designers, and project managers on integrated environmental graphic solutions.
Web/Online Graphics Understanding:
- Possess a strong understanding of visual design principles for web and digital platforms (e.g. responsive design, UI/UX basics, web typography).
- Be able to adapt print and environmental graphic concepts for digital use (e.g. social media assets, website banners, email graphics).
- Understand basic file formats and optimization techniques for web/online deployment.
- (Optional, depending on specific needs): Familiarity with basic animation principles for digital graphics is a plus.
General Design & Collaboration:
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative design concepts.
- Translate creative briefs into effective and aesthetically pleasing designs that meet project objectives.
- Present design concepts to clients and internal teams, effectively articulating design rationale.
- Incorporate feedback constructively and iterate on designs as needed.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain brand consistency across all design outputs.
- Stay current with industry trends, software advancements, and best practices in graphic design.
Requirements:
- Degree/diploma in graphic design
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in the MICE industry
- Able to work within tight timelines
- Able to work during weekend/public holidays when required
