About the Role
Reporting to the Assistant Finance Manager, the Account Executive supports the finance department in carrying out the responsibilities of the accounting department. He/She is involved in work that is specific to accounts payable, tax filing, data compilation, or other accounting tasks; including but not limiting to accruals, fixed assets accounting or the monthly and yearly finalization of accounts for audit purposes.
The Accounts Executive may also assist with the preparation of cashflow forecast, trial balance, and basic financial statements. The candidate must be versatile and willing to accept job rotation to other accounting functions such as Accounts Receivable and he/she may also be called on to participate in ad-hoc finance-related projects and systems testing when necessary.
Responsibilities
- Support the finance department in accounting responsibilities.
- Handle accounts payable, tax filing, and data compilation.
- Manage accruals and fixed assets accounting.
- Assist in the monthly and yearly finalization of accounts for audit purposes.
- Prepare cashflow forecasts, trial balances, and basic financial statements.
- Participate in job rotation to other accounting functions. Engage in ad-hoc finance-related projects and systems testing when necessary.
Qualifications
You should possess at least a Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent. Fresh graduates are also welcome to apply.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of basic accounting.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Good time management and ability to work independently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas and Pivot tables. Meticulous with a keen eye for details.
Preferred Skills
- At least 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable. Experience in ERP (CSI) is preferred.
