The Role
Position summary statement:
The Accounts Executive supports the Director of Finance (DOF) in a range of accounting and administrative tasks. This includes managing day-to-day financial transactions, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, performing month-end closing activities, and maintaining compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain monthly financial reports, including balance sheets and cash flow statements.
Prepare balance sheet schedules, ensure timely clearance of transactions, and follow up on all outstanding balances.
Prepare accounting schedules and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances.
Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure all bank transactions are accurately accounted for.
Update the contract list and ensure all contract commitments are properly recorded before month-end closing.
Maintain proper fixed asset records and conduct periodic fixed asset counts in accordance with company policy.
Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Prepare annual budgets and monthly forecasts; perform variance analysis.
Conduct daily checks on HMS transactions to ensure accurate posting and proper interfacing from HMS to SAP; investigate and follow up on discrepancies or unusual transactions.
Review and verify all revenue generated daily in HMS.
Collect and bank all cash collected by the Front Office and prepare journal entries for review.
Assist in preparing correspondence related to disputes and chargebacks.
Highlight any financial discrepancies to the Finance Manager or Director of Finance for investigation.
Ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned.

- Able to work independently and complete tasks timely
- Think analytically and Attention to details.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar capacity.
- Prior work experience in Accounting & Business Analysis is an advantage but not a requirement.
- Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Banking or other relevant field.
- Computer literacy
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, Word and PowerPoint Presentations.
- Meticulous and consistently accurate in work performance
- Able to withstand pressure and stress
