Responsibilities:
- Able to professionally execute accounting related work activities assigned.
- Holds responsibility for the accounts receivables / payables to ensure cash is received / paid in accordance to designated time frame.
- To help and support fellow colleagues and team members.
- To promote and enhance a working team spirit among colleagues and throughout all company offices involved in the same jobs.
General Activities:
- Sending Statements of Accounts to customers and intercompanies on a monthly basis.
- Analyse debtors' ageing report, tracking clients‘ payment schedules and highlight problematic customers to management on a weekly basis.
- Check suppliers‘ invoices / credit notes and ensure timely data entry into the accounting system.
- Keep proper accounting records and update cash books and perform bank reconciliations.
- Manage billing and collection.
- Prepare year-end audit schedules Assist with any other ad-hoc task as assigned.
Qualification & Competencies:
- Minimum LCCI Diploma.
- Good command of both written and spoken English
- Understand the theoretical requirements for shipping / chartering accounts.
- Minimum 2 years accounting experience, preferably in the Logistics / Ship Management industry.
- Analytical and meticulous with strong interpersonal & communication skills
- Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Be able to communicate effectively with colleagues, customers / suppliers etc.
