6 months contract role
Responsibilities:
- Handle monthly closing activities covering GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets and Bank Reconciliation.
- Prepare monthly journals and supporting schedule in a timely and accurate manner.
- Perform monthly and quarterly analysis for management reporting.
- Assist in GST submissions, filing activities and overall tax compliance.
- Manage day to day accounts payable.
- Ensure internal control policies and procedures are in compliance with Company policies and FRS.
- Identify areas to be improved and initiate good accounting control procedures and best practices to improve work efficiency.
- Additional ad hoc assignments as required.
- Responsible for all stores’ yearly gross revenue audit.
- In charge of accounts receivables and operations including tidying up of daily cash sheet and outlet reconciliation .
- Processing of staff claims/reimbursement.
- Any other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Accountancy or Finance
- Minimum 2 years of working experience in handling transactions accounting, financial controls and reporting
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Experience in fast-paced retail environment is a plus
- A team player and meticulous with an eye for details
- Ability to meet deadlines
