Why this role matters
You will support the Finance Manager in managing day-to-day operations, maintaining 100% financial accuracy, and driving timely reporting to support business decisions. You’ll also guide junior team members and step up during audits, claims, and closing cycles.
What you’ll do
Financial Operations & Reporting
- Assist in full-set accounts and lead the monthly closing process.
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts, reconciliation schedules, and financial reports.
- Reconcile LMS/CRM student records with accounting data to ensure revenue integrity.
Tax, Grants & Compliance
- Prepare quarterly GST returns, SkillsFuture claims, and audit-ready documentation.
- Work with auditors, tax agents, and relevant government authorities to ensure compliance.
Process Improvement
- Improve finance SOPs (credit note handling, grant documentation, etc.) for higher speed and accuracy.
- Support automation efforts using accounting platforms like Xero/QuickBooks and integrated tools.
Team Leadership & Review
- Supervise and review work by the Finance Executives, ensuring timely AP/AR and journal entries.
- Train and coach junior staff on controls, reconciliation, and documentation best practices.
What we’re looking for
- Degree in Accountancy or ACCA equivalent with 5+ years relevant experience.
- Prior experience in full-set accounts and supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong technical knowledge of Singapore FRS, GST, and IRAS regulations.
- Proficient in accounting systems like Xero or QuickBooks, and comfortable with Excel/Google Sheets.
- Meticulous, organised, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
