NTUC Health Co-operative Limited (NTUC Health) is an NTUC social enterprise that provides a comprehensive and integrated suite of quality and affordable health and eldercare services to meet the growing needs of families and their dependents. Building on close to three decades of experience and expertise, NTUC Health is among the largest providers of active ageing, senior day care, nursing home, and home personal care services in Singapore. Job Description
The Community Research Coordinator will co-develop and manage research projects that explore the needs of seniors in local communities, working closely with research institutes and community stakeholders to ensure ethical, community-driven research.
You will need to:
Research Planning and Implementation
- Co-design and coordinate research projects focusing on community needs and priorities
- Develop research tools such as surveys, interview guides, and data collection protocols
- Support the integration of community knowledge into research design and objectives
Community Engagement and Collaboration
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community members and research organisations
- Faciltate community participation in research activies including co-design and co-analysis
- Organize workshops, focus groups as part of participatory research
Data Collection and Management
- Oversee or conduct primary data collection through interviews, surveys and fieldwork
- Ensure ethical standards and cultural sensitivity in all research practices
- Manage and maintain research databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
Data Analysis and Reporting
- Analyse qualitative and/or quantitative data using appropriate methods and software
- Prepare research reports, case studies and visual presentations
- Present findings to stakeholders including community members, funders and partners
Team and Project Coordination
- Supervise interns, MJs or volunteers involved in fieldwork
Track project progress, deliverables and deadlines
Contribute to grant applications, progress reports and funding proposals
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Social Science, Public Health, Community Development, or a related field.
- Master's degree, in Gerontology would be an added advantage
- 2 -5 years of experience in community research or program evaluation
- Demonstrated experience working with diverse communities
- Strong knowledge of research methods (qualitative and quantitative)
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills
- Proficiency in MS and research software (e.g. SPSS, Excel, R-programming, SurveyMonkey)
