Job Description
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of Addition & Alteration (A&A) projects.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, consultants, subcontractors, and site teams.
- Support the Project Manager in managing day-to-day project operations and ensuring timely delivery.
- Monitor site progress and quality to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
- Keep track of and report on project progress, issues, and updates.
- Conduct research or technical follow-up as required for problem-solving.
- Attend site and coordination meetings.
- Ensure project documentation is properly maintained.
- Carry out any tasks assigned by the Project Manager in a timely and efficient manner.
- Any other duties that may be assigned.
Requirements
- Diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in A&A or related construction projects.
- Strong leadership qualities with initiative and problem-solving ability.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills, both verbal and written.
- Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and project tracking tools.
- Capable of developing detailed shop drawings in CAD based on design intent, coordination inputs, and site constraints.
- Knowledge of drawing tools (SketchUp, Revit, etc.) is often highly valued.
- Experienced in compiling and submitting monthly progress claims to clients or consultants, including site measurement, valuation of works done, and variation orders as applicable.
- Possess Singapore Class 3 Driving License (preferred).
- Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera).
- Well-versed in local building regulations and A&A project processes, including submission and approval procedures such as Permit to Work (POWS), Notification of Commencement of Earthworks (NCE), and permit applications from regulatory bodies like BCA and LTA
- Certifying subcontractors' claims based on the approved Letter of Award (LOA) reflects both contractual knowledge and cost control discipline.
