We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bunker Surveyor to join our team in Singapore. As a Bunker Surveyor, you will be responsible for inspecting and verifying the quantity and quality of marine fuel (bunker) delivered to vessels. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with regulations, conducting accurate measurements, and reporting findings to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct surveys to determine the quantity and quality of bunker fuel delivered to vessels.
- Measure and verify fuel delivered to ships, using established procedures and equipment.
- Coordinate with vessel crews, bunker suppliers, and port authorities to ensure smooth and efficient delivery processes.
- Ensure all bunker deliveries comply with international regulations and industry standards.
- Stay updated on the latest regulations, technological advancements, and best practices in bunker surveying.
- Perform additional duties related to bunker surveying as required.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in bunker surveying, marine operations, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of bunker fuels, maritime regulations, and surveying techniques.
- Familiarity with international standards and compliance requirements, such as ISO and MARPOL.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English (additional languages a plus).
- Good understanding of relevant marine safety procedures.
- Proficient in using survey equipment and computer software for data recording and reporting.
- A valid Bunker Surveyor license is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Diploma in Any Maritime Related Studies
- Previous experience working in Singapore’s marine industry.
- Knowledge of local regulations and practices in bunker surveying.
