We’re looking for a reliable and motivated Line Cook / Kitchen Assistant to join our kitchen team. This role is perfect for someone who’s passionate about good food, works well under pressure, and enjoys being part of a fast-paced, supportive environment.
You’ll be working alongside our chefs to prepare and serve quality dishes, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and ensure smooth service from prep to plate.
What You’ll Be Doing
Food Preparation & Cooking:
- Assist with prepping ingredients (washing, chopping, portioning).
- Cook and plate dishes according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist in setting up and breaking down the kitchen before and after service.
Kitchen Operations:
- Keep workstations clean, organised, and stocked during service.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines at all times.
- Receive and store deliveries properly, checking for quality and accuracy.
- Help with daily and weekly cleaning tasks in the kitchen.
Teamwork & Support:
- Work closely with the kitchen team to keep service running smoothly.
- Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff during service.
- Step in to assist with other kitchen duties when needed.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous kitchen or hospitality experience preferred, but not essential—training provided.
- Good knife skills and basic cooking knowledge are a plus.
- Ability to work quickly, efficiently, and cleanly under pressure.
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player.
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
- Commitment to maintaining high food quality and safety standards.
