Intro:
CSC Fund Solutions is seeking a Director with 10+ years of AML/CFT and Investor Services experience in Asia Pacific. This position will be responsible for leading the regional AML/CFT and Investor Services teams based in different jurisdictions in Asia Pacific. The position will report into the Regional Head of Fund Services Asia Pacific and will oversee the investor services, transfer agency and investor compliance activities for our client relationships and will interact with our clients and internal business partners to establish service level agreements and a global framework for executing all tasks to meet the expectations and goals of our service relationships.
What you will be doing:
Compliance and regulatory adherence:
- Ensure that processes, policies, and procedures within the region or jurisdictions are compliant with relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices;
- Ensuring company policies and legal guidelines are clearly communicated to your respective regions and jurisdictions;
- Stay up to date with industry trend's, regulatory changes and updates, and implement necessary adjustments to regional operations as needed to remain compliant and competitive;
- Actively monitor and manage regional risks related to AML/CFT and investor services operations, escalating any potential issues to reporting manager and compliance in a timely manner;
- Serve as direct line manager and escalation point of contact for operation matters and challenges.
Team management and development:
- Lead, mentor, and manage regional and jurisdictional teams in executing AML/CFT initiatives, transfer agent and investor services functions, AEOI services, ensuring adherence to applicable regulatory requirements.
- Provide guidance, support, and training to enhance the team's capabilities and drive continuous improvement.
- Hire, train, and evaluate employees, including managers and their associates, to ensure the organization has a talented team capable of achieving its goals.
- Work closely with Human Resources to lead the team with integrity and to establish and maintain a trusting, inclusive, and productive environment
Coordination and collaboration:
- Collaborate with other regional managers to share knowledge, identify best practices, and promote a consistent approach to operations across the organization;
- Draw on relationships with various internal and external stakeholders to make decisions regarding operational activity and strategic goals;
- Assessing, managing, and resolving problematic developments and situations.
Performance monitoring and reporting:
- Maximize efficiency and productivity through extensive process analysis and interdepartmental collaboration;
- Identify areas for improvement and implement action plans to address identified gaps or inefficiencies;
- Collaborate with senior managers in the development of performance goals and long-term operational plans;
- Set strategic goals for operational efficiency and increased productivity.
General
- Engage in business development activities, such as identifying potential opportunities for growth;
- Establish and maintain relationships with Clients for Investors Services.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in AML/CFT compliance, investor services and transfer agency operations within the financial services sector.
- Strong risk management capabilities, with experience in establishing frameworks to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with compliance and operational functions.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of driving performance, fostering collaboration, and developing talent.
- Industry experience with a proven track record of streamlining and improving a service operation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in senior-level client engagement and relationship management.
- Global compliance experience a plus.
- Global Investor Services experience a plus.
- Knowledge of global alternative investment fund markets, regulatory and compliance mandates a plus.
