Job Summary
We are seeking experienced and reliable Drywall Partition Installers to join our construction team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for installing drywall partition systems according to project specifications, ensuring high-quality finishes, structural integrity, and adherence to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints for drywall partition installations
- Measure and cut drywall panels to fit specific wall dimensions
- Install drywall partitions including steel stud framing, track systems, and ceiling grids
- Secure drywall sheets to metal or wood framework using appropriate tools and fasteners
- Tape, mud, and sand drywall joints to prepare surfaces for painting or finishing
- Ensure alignment, plumbness, and leveling of walls and partitions
- Identify and report any design, material, or safety issues to the supervisor
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Follow all safety procedures and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other trades on-site
Requirements
- Proven experience in drywall partition installation or interior fit-out works
- Ability to read technical drawings and layout plans
- Familiar with tools and materials used in drywall installation (e.g., levels, drills, screw guns, taping knives)
- Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy materials and work on ladders or scaffolds
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Willingness to work flexible hours or overtime if required
- Knowledge of workplace safety regulations and practices
- Basic communication skills; ability to understand instructions in [English / preferred language]
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in construction or related trade (e.g., CIDB, WSQ, etc.)
- Experience with other interior works (e.g., ceiling, painting, or carpentry) is a plus
- Valid driver’s license or means of transportation to job sites
Working Conditions
- Work is typically performed on active construction sites
- May involve standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods
- Exposure to dust, noise, and construction materials
