As part of the Professional Development team, the Education Development Specialist (EDS) will play a critical role in uplifting and transforming Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) professional/pedagogical learning and capability building across NTUC First Campus (NFC)’s ECCE fraternity to derive better child outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Participate in the development of PD content for new and experienced Chinese teachers, using curriculum resources and guides as references
Equip new teachers and experienced teachers by conducting training sessions and providing onsite coaching
Provide professional guidance to Centre Core Team of assigned centres in the following areas:
Translate curriculum knowledge to classroom practices and relate the latter to SPARKs criteria
Close practice gaps in pedagogy and curriculum implementation
Enhance their curriculum leadership and capacity to support and guide centre teachers in their teaching and learning practices
Partner Team Leader in PD initiatives to improve the delivery and efficacy of PD to centres
Contribute to curriculum review taking cognisance of feedback received from MFS Centres.
Participate in NFC’s Task Forces and/or projects
Participate in professional development of team through professional learning and sharing, and mentoring of new colleagues
Requirements:
Possess Degree or Master in Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE)
Strong pedagogical and curriculum knowledge with demonstrated experience in translation of such knowledge and experience to practice
Demonstrated strong training/equipping, mentoring and coaching ability for centre leaders
Strong people skills
