Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Engineer

About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and skilled Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Engineer to join our team and help ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations across our petrochemical plant. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be at the forefront of troubleshooting, maintenance, and reliability improvement of critical E&I systems.
What You’ll Do
- Lead troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and optimization of electrical distribution systems (LV/MV), switchgears, transformers, protective relays, and motor controls.
- Support plant turnaround (TAR), shutdowns, and reliability improvement projects.
- Ensure safe and reliable performance of process instrumentation, transmitters, analyzers, and control valves.
- Work with DCS (Yokogawa Centum VP) and PLCs (Omron, Mitsubishi) to implement logic modifications, graphics updates, and control enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, MOM regulations, and functional safety requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and contractors to deliver reliable plant operations.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Control & Automation Engineering.
- 2–5 years of experience in E&I engineering within petrochemical, chemical, or oil & gas industries.
- Solid technical foundation in instrumentation, controls, and hazardous area compliance (IEC 60079 / ATEX).
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills with a hands-on mindset.
- Willingness to support emergency call-outs and plant shutdown activities.
