About the Role:
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of the server, storage, and infrastructure architecture strategy and roadmap.
- Analyze the current server and storage technology stack and identify areas for optimization and modernization.
- Develop enterprise-level architectural models and frameworks that guide the design and implementation of scalable infrastructure solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into robust technical solutions.
- Provide hands-on leadership and technical guidance to application, infrastructure, and operations teams in solution delivery.
- Ensure all server and storage architectures meet performance, availability, security, and compliance standards.
- Design and plan capacity, scalability, and lifecycle management strategies for servers and storage systems.
- Evaluate new and emerging technologies to influence infrastructure strategy and drive innovation.
- Drive implementation of data governance and information security policies within the infrastructure domain.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in enterprise server, storage, or infrastructure architecture and delivery leadership roles.
- Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) and methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V),
- Containers,
- Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI),
- SAN/NAS (Fibre Channel, iSCSI, NFS, SMB),
- Backup and Recovery Solutions (Veeam, Commvault, Rubrik, Cohesity, Veritas).
- Deep knowledge of software-defined storage (SDS), data protection strategies (backup, snapshots, replication, disaster recovery).
- Familiarity with storage and compute solutions from leading OEMs like DELL, HPE, Nutanix, Red Hat, Windows Server.
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to lead architecture initiatives in fast-paced, complex environments.
Preferred / Good to Have:
- TOGAF Certification or equivalent EA certification.
- Familiarity with government IT standards and compliance frameworks such as IM8, GCC (Government Commercial Cloud), and Confidential Cloud Computing.
- Certifications from leading vendors (e.g., VMware, Microsoft, Red Hat, Dell EMC, HPE, Nutanix).
- Experience working in regulated industries or public sector infrastructure environments.
