Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Finance Assistant to support our finance team with day-to-day bookkeeping, invoicing, and financial record-keeping. The ideal candidate will have strong numerical skills, proficiency in accounting software, and a commitment to maintaining accurate financial data.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and record invoices, receipts, payments, and expenses.
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable functions.
- Reconcile bank statements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Prepare and send invoices and follow up on overdue payments.
- Assist with employee expense claims.
- File and organize financial documents (digital and physical).
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Generate basic financial reports (e.g., aging reports, cash flow summaries).
- Assist with GST returns and tax documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 1–2 years in bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, or similar role.
- Technical Skills: MS Excel
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication. Familiarity with basic tax principles.
