SUMMARY OF POSITION
We are seeking an experienced Franchise Manager to spearhead our global franchise development strategy. The role’s primary focus is to build international brand interest and recruit qualified franchise partners, positioning our F&B brand for sustainable growth worldwide.
You will drive franchise expansion strategies, identify potential markets, and lead the full sales process from prospecting to final agreement. Beyond development, you will also support global expansion, ensuring smooth onboarding and long-term partnership success once franchisees are established. Additionally, you will play a critical role in financial performance tracking, providing insights on market viability and ROI projections to management.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record in F&B franchising, strong international business development experience, and the ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on execution. This position requires a results-driven leader with excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills, ready to represent our brand regionally and globally.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Franchise Development
- Develop strategies to generate international interest in the brand and attract qualified franchise partners.
- Conduct global market scans to identify target regions, assess market readiness, and prioritise expansion opportunities.
- Build a pipeline of prospective franchisees through proactive outreach, trade shows, digital campaigns, and industry networks.
- Lead the full franchise sales process: screening prospects, conducting evaluations (financial capacity, operational experience, and brand fit), and facilitating due diligence.
- Negotiate franchise terms and ensure alignment with company standards, collaborating with legal and senior management to finalise agreements.
- Represent the brand at international industry events, conferences, and exhibitions to showcase franchising opportunities.
Franchise Management
- Act as the primary liaison to provide franchise support and guidance
- Ensure smooth communication between the company and franchisees, fostering collaborative and long-term partnerships.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver franchisee training, brand standards compliance, and operational support.
- Monitor franchisee performance through regular reporting and business reviews, identifying growth opportunities and addressing operational gaps.
- Support global rollouts with tailored market-entry strategies to ensure success in each geography.
Financial Performance & Analysis
- Work with finance teams to assess the financial viability of new markets and proposed franchise locations.
- Track franchisee financial performance against agreed KPIs and benchmarks.
- Provide financial insights to management on franchise pipeline, ROI projections, and market profitability.
- Ensure franchise growth strategies align with budget allocations and long-term business objectives.
Marketing & Branding
- Partner with marketing teams to position the brand competitively in the international franchise landscape.
- Ensure all franchise partners uphold brand identity, marketing standards, and promotional guidelines.
- Provide input on marketing campaigns and international branding initiatives that enhance franchise appeal.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of franchise development activities, including communications, negotiations, and signed agreements.
- Prepare and present regular progress reports, market insights, and pipeline updates to senior management.
Other Responsibilities
- Assist with special projects and ad-hoc assignments related to international business development.
- Undertake additional responsibilities assigned by senior management
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s or Diploma in Business, Marketing, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in F&B franchising, business development, or international sales.
- Proven success in franchise recruitment and expansion.
- Proven track record in opening new franchise stores regionally and globally.
- Strong knowledge of franchise operations, legal frameworks, and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market trends and financial data.
- Independent, self-driven, and results-oriented with a hands-on working style.
- Willingness to travel regionally and internationally.
