This position supports Global Intelligence’s Asia-Pacific regional portfolio, driving advancement and innovation in how Global Intelligence serves stakeholders across the region. This position supports the Regional Intelligence APAC Lead by proactively integrating and analyzing information to evaluate the potential tactical and operational impact of threats against the firm. The ideal candidate must have a high degree of analytic ability, critical thinking skills, project and knowledge management experience, capability to multi-task effectively, and exposure to tactical and operational security.
As a Global Intelligence Analyst, Senior Associate, within the Global Intelligence team, you will have the opportunity to address complex and multidimensional challenges with innovative, rigorous, and inter-disciplinary analytical methods to produce proactive and reliable assessments. The ideal candidate must be technically savvy, able to deal with and work through ambiguity, exhibit flexibility needed to shift workload in accordance with changing priorities, and be prepared and comfortable with leading in a sometimes stressful and fast-paced, priority-driven environment. You must also be comfortable and confident briefing senior firm leadership. Having an intense interest in history and geopolitical complexities and how this impacts the regional security landscape will serve you well in this role, as well as professional experience in data visualization techniques. As this is a senior associate role, you must be a highly motivated self-starter who can operate well within a global team.
Job responsibilities:
- Support the APAC physical security portfolio
- Coordinate with, and elicit intelligence requirements on an ongoing basis from regional security managers, the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), and Global Security leadership, as well as any other relevant stakeholders within the Firm
- Conduct open-source/social media research and analysis to support team objectives, including but not limited to tactical, operational, and strategic threats, and briefing key assessments
- Deliver written and verbal analytical assessments in clear, succinct, and appropriately caveated products that project confidence and credibility and reinforce key threat related judgements
- Collaborate with regional intelligence leads and key partners across the Firm to deliver timely and relevant threat and vulnerability reports
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- 5+ years of relevant professional work experience, including in performing open source research, intelligence analysis, and/or investigative work
- Must be able to produce well-crafted reports and deliver high-impact presentations
- Independent thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with MS Office suite
- Familiarity with ArcGIS or other mapping tools
- Familiarity with Tableau or other data visualization tools
- An interest in security matters and topics such as executive protection, crime, terrorism, climate change risks, and civil unrest
- Undergraduate degree in Political Science, International Affairs, Security, Geography, Criminology, Sociology, or related security discipline
- Savvy and knowledgeable in regard to various social media platforms, including alternative and deep/dark web platforms
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Academic and/or practical work experience doing geospatial analysis using ArcGIS software is desirable
- Experience in law enforcement, military, or prior private sector risk intelligence a plus
- Proficiency in both verbal and written Mandarin to liaise with stakeholders based in China
- Experience with AI/LLM tools, especially deploying these tools for the intelligence cycle
