- Facilitate the effective implementation of Group Risk Management Strategy/Framework, embedding One Compliance Process for the region, etc.
- Support and assist in the implementation of Division’s Compliance strategies and initiatives
- Assist in the effective implementation of various Group policies for the Division and cascading down to business units
- Monitor the Business units’ timely follow-up of compliance issues and incidents, closure of issues and actions, including an independent review of the actions as part of the compliance management assurance process.
- Monitor the compliance risk environment in the region and assist in keeping abreast of changes in regulatory requirements across the region and summarizing for management reporting
- Monitor the compliance activities in the region (including training) to continually raise awareness of compliance management for all levels of staff and to embed compliance risk management into the business process
Your new role
- Assist in special projects in Enterprise Risk Management and Compliance work from time to time
- Support and assist the Compliance Management work that may be requested by CRO or Regional Risk Manager
- Assist in monitoring the proper upkeep of the Compliance Management System Solution by our Regional business units
- Maintain, update and collate key compliance risk data and information for regional Management reporting and local reporting
- Co-ordinate compliance monthly reporting of significant regulatory developments for regional and local reporting
- Assist business units to facilitate the Compliance Risk Assessment workshops and support them in actively engaging their management in managing key compliance risks in their business operations
- Monitor the risk environment in the region and assist in keeping abreast of changes in regulatory requirements across the region and summarizing for management reporting
- Monitor and review the compliance risk metrics for Division, conduct compliance reviews and testing
- Mentoring/coaching of junior compliance colleagues
About you
- Understand the complexity of the business in Singapore, insurance business, Facultative and treaty reinsurance as well.
- Experience in primarily non-life insurance industry involving risk/compliance management
- Strong IT skills, including Excel, reporting etc.
- Excellent persuasive skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to articulate compliance matters to a broad audience
- Commercial acumen
- Technical compliance knowledge in insurance industry
- Professional compliance/risk management qualification highly valued
