Head of Risk and Compliance
Job Summary:
Century Games is seeking an experienced and proactive Head of Risk and Compliance to oversee the development, implementation, and management of risk and compliance strategies.
The ideal candidate will ensure our business adheres to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards while proactively identifying and mitigating potential risks associated with game development, publishing, and company operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the risk management framework tailored to the mobile gaming industry.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards (such as data privacy, intellectual property, content regulations, regulatory and standards).
- Lead risk assessments related to game content, monetization strategies, user data handling, and platform partnerships.
- Establish policies and procedures to mitigate legal and operational risks.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure ongoing compliance and risk mitigation.
- Collaborate with legal, product, and operational teams to address compliance issues and implement best practices.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks affecting mobile gaming landscape.
- Manage relationships with regulatory bodies, platform providers (such as Apple App Store, Google Play), and external auditors.
- Prepare updates & reports for Executives & Management on risk and compliance status.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Risk Management, Law or related field.
- Possess 8 to 15 or more years of experience in risk management, compliance, or related roles, preferably within game development, tech or related industries.
- Strong understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks affecting mobile gaming, including data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Experience with content regulation, monetization policies, and platform compliance standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and with a strong sense of integrity.
