As we expand our operations in China , we are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Student Recruiter to lead our recruitment efforts and drive student enrollment growth.
The Head Student Recruiter (China Market) will be responsible for developing and executing recruitment strategies to attract Chinese students to study in Singapore and other partner institutions. This role involves market expansion, agent partnerships, student counseling, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Chinese education market , strong networking skills, and a passion for helping students achieve their academic goals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment Strategy & Market Expansion
- Develop and implement *data-driven recruitment strategies* to attract Chinese students to Singaporean schools, universities, and vocational institutions.
- Conduct *market research* to identify trends, competitor activities, and new opportunities in China. Build and maintain relationships with *key stakeholders*, including education agents, schools, and government bodies in China.
2. Agent & Institutional Partnerships
- Establish and manage partnerships with *education agencies, schools, and counselors* across China.
- Organize and participate in *education fairs, seminars, and roadshows* to promote Singapore as a study destination. Negotiate contracts and commission structures with recruitment agents.
3. Student Recruitment & Counseling*
- Oversee the *student application process*, ensuring smooth admissions and visa procedures.
- Provide *personalized counseling* to prospective students and parents on study options, scholarships, and career pathways. Monitor conversion rates and implement improvements to boost enrollment numbers.
4. Team Leadership & Performance Management*
- Lead and mentor a team of *recruitment officers and counselors* to achieve enrollment targets.
- Set *KPIs*, track performance, and provide training to enhance team effectiveness. Collaborate with marketing to develop *targeted campaigns* (social media, WeChat, Douyin, etc.) for the Chinese market.
5. Compliance & Reporting*
- Ensure all recruitment practices comply with *Singaporean immigration laws* and institutional policies. Prepare *monthly/quarterly reports* on recruitment metrics, market trends, and ROI.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience* in *student recruitment, preferably in the **China-Singapore education sector*.
- *Fluent in Mandarin and English* (written and spoken) to engage with Chinese stakeholders.
- Strong *networking and negotiation skills* with a proven track record in agent management.
- Experience in *digital marketing (WeChat, Douyin, SEO)* for student recruitment is a plus.
- Willingness to travel every month to China for recruitment events and meetings.
