Responsibilities
We are seeking an Ecosystem Readiness Project (ERL) Intern who is curious, detail-oriented, and passionate about the innovation landscape. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our understanding of the Singapore deep tech ecosystems. This is a unique opportunity to combine your passion for research with the world of innovation, venture capital, and emerging technologies.
Your work will directly contribute to our mission of mapping and analysing the key factors that enable technological breakthroughs to thrive and scale.
Typical tasks and responsibilities include:
Qualitative Data Transformation: Transcribe, clean, and code qualitative data from expert interviews with high accuracy. You will be responsible for preparing datasets for rigorous analysis, turning conversations into structured, usable information.
Secondary Research & Synthesis: Conduct comprehensive secondary research on global deep tech trends, venture capital landscapes, and key industry players. You will synthesise findings from academic journals, industry reports, and news sources into concise summaries.
Data Integrity & Documentation: Meticulously maintain and update project documentation, including research logs, data repositories, and methodological notes, to ensure the integrity and accessibility of our team's knowledge base.
Collaborative Analysis: Collaborate with the ERL team in brainstorming sessions, contribute to the analytical process, and assist in generating data-driven insights from the information you've helped prepare.
Communicating Insights: Assist in creating charts, graphs, and presentation slides to effectively communicate complex research findings to internal stakeholders.
Required
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Social Sciences, Public Policy, or a related field.
Preferred
Prior experience with qualitative research or literature reviews.
Familiarity with qualitative data analysis software (e.g., NVivo, MAXQDA).
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets (e.g., pivot tables, functions).

Research Acumen: Demonstrated experience in qualitative research methods through academic projects, coursework, or prior internships.
Meticulous Nature: A highly organised and methodical approach to work, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.

Critical Thinking: Excellent analytical skills with the ability to synthesise complex information from diverse sources and draw logical conclusions.
