About the Role
THE POSITION
The Wellington Solutions team is a comprehensive investment solutions platform that partners closely with clients to solve investment challenges. Our mission is to deliver outcome-oriented strategies by integrating diversified asset allocation, multi-manager portfolio design, robust portfolio construction, and sophisticated risk management. The team has an extensive history in managing solutions and harnesses the power of the firm’s active management capabilities to create the optimal portfolio for our clients.
A critical component of this process is our asset allocation research that informs how we position portfolios across various asset classes. This research spans systematic and fundamental, short-term and long-term, broad-based and client specific. Given the critical nature of this research, we are seeking an analyst to support our asset allocation research effort along with playing a role in region in supporting the local portfolio management team in managing our client assets. The successful individual will need to be able to support a team-based process that drives asset allocation positions in our portfolios. This will involve undertaking research across multiple disciplines and asset classes to fit into a multi asset framework. This individual will also need to ensure that research is both robust and pragmatic, translating into investable views and insights for use in client portfolios.
We run both strategic (Solution Design and Client Advisory) and tactical (Tactical Asset Allocation and Active Risk Control) research agendas across our Multi-Asset Solutions (MAS). The expectation is that the focus of this candidate will be on strategic research, although a broader skill set would be an advantage. Importantly, the focus is on applied research to drive positions in client portfolios.
