The Actuarial Modeller will be responsible for implementing and updating actuarial models, supporting testing and consulting teams, and delivering on quick requests and reporting developments related to actuarial modelling.
Key accountabilities:
- Support Common Actuarial Model (CAM) implementations for each of the lines of business; including expanding the common framework/pilot build where necessary, and implementing + testing CAM to replace the existing models, either Prophet-to-Prophet or Prophet-to-alternative
- Support LBUs in updating CAMs already put into production
- Delivery on Quick Wins requests from LBUs as relevant, related to actuarial modelling, or the technical end of reporting developments
- Support testing and of model build activity led by consulting teams
- Support hiring, training and development of modelling team members
Candidate Requirements:
- 6+ years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in mathematics, physics, computer science, or actuarial studies
- Previous experience in a modelling team, modelling Centre of Excellence (CoE), or reporting team with modelling responsibilities
- Proficiency in using Prophet for actuarial modelling
- Experience in maintaining actuarial models and preferably building models from scratch
- Involvement in results production is desirable
- Some team or project management experience is desirable
