We are seeking a passionate and driven professional to join MSE as Manager, Student Care & Alumni Engagement. You will be the go‑to point of contact for student wellbeing, proactively shaping initiatives that help our 1,070 students thrive academically and personally. At the same time, you will lead efforts to build a vibrant alumni network that contributes back to the School’s growth and reputation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and implement holistic student care and wellbeing initiatives.
- Serve as the trained first point of contact for all students in MSE, providing basic counselling, early intervention, and referral to specialised services when needed.
- Design and execute programmes, workshops, and campaigns that support students’ mental, emotional, and social wellbeing throughout their academic journey.
- Monitor student needs through feedback channels, data analysis, and engagement with student leaders, adjusting initiatives to remain relevant and impactful.
- Partner with faculty, academic advisors, and university offices (e.g. Student Affairs, Counselling Services) to ensure a seamless ecosystem of support.
- Build a strong sense of belonging by fostering an inclusive, caring school culture.
- Drive alumni engagement and build a vibrant alumni network.
- Develop and implement short‑ and long‑term alumni engagement strategies aligned with MSE’s vision.
- Organise and manage alumni events, mentorship programmes, networking sessions, and industry collaborations to strengthen ties between alumni and the School.
- Maintain and grow alumni databases and communication channels, ensuring regular touchpoints through newsletters, features, and recognition initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for alumni to contribute expertise, time, or resources to benefit students and MSE’s growth.
- Collaborate with the university’s Alumni Relations teams and external partners to enhance MSE’s visibility and reputation.
- Build cross‑functional partnerships and ensure alignment with university objectives.
- Work closely with MSE leadership, faculty, and administrative teams to integrate student care and alumni strategies into broader school initiatives.
- Liaise with central university offices to align with policies, leverage resources, and share best practices.
- Track impact and drive continuous improvement.
- Monitor KPIs for student care and alumni engagement, track participation and feedback, and prepare regular reports for MSE leadership.
- Use data and insights to refine programmes and inform future planning.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work, Education or related field (Master’s degree or relevant certifications an advantage).
- At least 5 years’ experience in student services, welfare, or pastoral care
- Trained in counselling and crisis support, with strong empathy and interpersonal skills.
- Proven experience in student services, welfare, or alumni relations, with solid programme management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Excellent communication, cultural sensitivity, and a genuine passion for student development and community building.
