We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Manual Tester to join our QA team. You’ll be responsible for executing test cases, identifying bugs, and working closely with developers and senior testers to ensure high-quality software delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand and execute manual test cases based on business requirements and functional specifications
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, and UI testing
- Log defects clearly with proper steps to reproduce, screenshots, and relevant data
- Collaborate with developers, analysts, and senior QA members to clarify issues
- Assist in test case documentation and maintenance
- Report test progress, risks, and blockers to the QA Lead
- Perform retesting and closure verification of defects
- Participate in sprint planning and daily stand-ups (if in Agile)
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing lifecycle (STLC)
- Familiarity with defect tracking tools ( Quality Center, JIRA, Bugzilla)
- Good analytical and observational skills
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication
- Ability to follow test plans and checklists
- Working knowledge of web and mobile applications
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- Exposure to Agile or Scrum methodology
- ISTQB Foundation Level certification (nice to have)
- Basic knowledge of SQL or database validation (bonus)
