POSITION SUMMARY
Social Media and Content Marketing
- Writes copy for and updates the hotel website and outlet site builds with relevant promotional information and images
- Plans for, writes copy and schedules the content calendar for the hotel’s owned social media platforms
- Champions hotel content creation and runs social media ads where required
- Manages community engagement on the hotel’s owned social media platforms by responding to comments and direct messages
- Works with KOLs to organize and execute paid content partnerships
- Manages guest reviews on Google My Business, Facebook and other third-party review sites such OTAs
- Assist in copywriting, and the development and print production of hotel marketing collaterals, and ensures all hotel collaterals reflect the highest level of professionalism in content and presentation
- Assist with updating of hotel content on third-party F&B websites and on OTAs
Public Relations
- Build and develop relationships with media and KOLs to generate content on the hotel’s social media platforms through hosted FAM stays and media tastings
- Handle complimentary room bookings for media/KOL visits, and reservations for dining & spa experiences, and send out internal media advisories
- Prepare press kits for media FAMs, media tastings and coordinate press drops
- Assist with sending media invitations and collating RSVP for media tastings and special events
- Facilitate filming, interviews and photoshoot opportunities that showcase the hotel and its talents
- Daily media monitoring and clipping of all relevant print and online articles
- Update and maintain the media database
Administrative
- Prepare and compile monthly and quarterly Marketing Communications reports
- Update Awards folder and keeps track of accolades
- Raise purchase requisitions and process invoices for payment
- Prepare the monthly finance report
- Files new digital and collateral assets and maintains the shared Marcom folder, Sharepoint folder and BOX image drive
- Oversee the Marketing Communications generic mailbox and address queries within 24 hours of initial contact
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
University Degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism or Mass Communications
Experience and Skills
- A minimum 1 year of experience in travel, hospitality, luxury goods or PR agency preferred
- Superior writing ability and presentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Working knowledge of social media platforms. Enjoys creating social media content and is up to date on social trends
- Proficiency in photo and video editing software (Photoshop, Canva, Capcut) would be an asset
- Knowledge of production methods in graphic arts, printing, film, radio and television would be an asset
- Superior organizational skills – can handle multiple tasks simultaneously while adhering to deadlines
- Good interpersonal skills to maintain open communication and good relationships with all departments
- Represents the hotel in a positive and professional light; able to interact well with media, guests, management, suppliers and staff
