COMPANY BACKGROUND
Kosmode Health is a deep-tech spin-off from the Food Science & Technology Department at the National University of Singapore. We are driven by a mission to expand access to health from nature by enabling the repurposing of food processing by-products into sustainable, functional food for human nutrition.
One example is the W0W® noodle – the world’s first and only functional food clinically proven to have zero Glycemic Response (0 blood sugar response) , created from repurposed Barley Spent Grains, a by-product of beer and malt production.
As we expand our portfolio and bring new sustainable food innovations to market, we seek interns with curiosity, creativity, and a desire to work at the intersection of food technology and marketing to create measurable industry impact.
ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Marketing & Food Tech Intern , you will support KosmodeHealth’s efforts to translate our technology into meaningful market impact. This role is uniquely positioned at the crossroads of food science, marketing and sustainability , giving you exposure to product development, branding, and market outreach.
You will work closely with the Marketing Manager and the product development team in:
- Driving campaigns for W0W® noodles and upcoming products.
- Designing and executing marketing materials and product collaterals.
- Supporting product development insights by translating science into consumer-friendly messaging.
This role is ideal for students with a foundation in food science who also have a passion for creative communication and social impact and aspire to bridge science with business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing & Business Development
- Generate and nurture sales leads through market research and outreach.
- Craft engaging content for social media, newsletters, blogs, and the KosmodeHealth website.
- Develop campaign assets: marketing decks,brochures, videos, newsletters, and event collaterals.
- Support organization and execution of product launches, trade shows, exhibitions, and community outreach.
- Manage online/offline campaigns to drive brand awareness and product sales.
- Track and report campaign/event performance based on defined KPIs and ROI.
Food Technology & Product Development Support
- Conduct market and competitor research on functional food trends and sustainability-driven innovations.
- Translate nutrition/scientific concepts into consumer-friendly messaging .
- Provide inputs on product packaging, labelling, or branding aligned with regulatory and market needs.
- Contribute to prototype testing feedback and product positioning.
DESIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE
Academic Qualifications
- Preferably, undergraduate/diploma student in Marketing with science knowledge / Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, or related disciplines .
- Interest in marketing, business development, and product branding within a food tech context.
- Knowledge in biology/chemistry is advantageous.
Skills & Attributes
- Excellent written and verbal communicator.
- Active in content creation and social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook).
- Creative with strong storytelling and design sensibilities.
- Experience with graphic design, photography,video editing, or digital marketing tools is a plus.
- Self-driven, resourceful, and adaptable with a “can-do” mentality.
- Passionate about sustainability, nutrition, and innovation .
