We are seeking a talented, motivated, and experienced Hair Salon Manager to lead our team while providing top-tier hair care services to clients. This hybrid role involves both management responsibilities and delivering exceptional hairstyling services. Hairstyling Duties:
- Provide haircuts, coloring, styling, treatments, and consultations.
- Recommend appropriate services/products to clients.
- Stay up to date on the latest hairstyle trends and techniques.
- Maintain client records and appointment schedules.
- Sanitize tools and workstations after each use.
Managerial Duties:
- Oversee daily operations of the salon to ensure high performance.
- Hire, train, supervise, and motivate salon staff.
- Manage scheduling, inventory, and salon supplies.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve conflicts professionally.
- Promote salon services, loyalty programs, and special promotions.
- Monitor financial performance: sales targets, payroll, and budgeting.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the salon.
- Perform haircuts, blowouts, coloring, highlights, treatments, and styling for men, women, and/or children.
- Conduct thorough consultations to understand client preferences and recommend services/products.
- Stay updated on current trends, techniques, and product knowledge.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and sanitize tools after each use.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business.
- Upsell retail products and additional services to meet client needs.
- Attend staff meetings and participate in training or continuing education as required.
- Maintain client records and manage appointments if needed via salon booking software.
- Consulting with clients on stylistic options for their hair.
- Listening to clients' needs to determine their preferences.
- Describing different hair care products and their benefits.
- Shampooing, cutting, coloring, and highlighting hair.
- Offering manicure, pedicure, waxing, and facial services.
- Performing scalp treatments.
- Acting as salespersons to sell clients hair care retail products.
- Building a personal relationship with clients to ensure return visits.
- Adhering to salon safety and cleanliness standards.
- Managing bookings and welcoming clients into the store.
- Keeping updated on hairstyle trends and styling methods.
- Hair Stylist Requirements:
- High school graduation or GED completion.
- Licensing from a cosmetology school.
- Previous experience as a hair stylist or colorist.
- A wide pallet of styling and coloring techniques.
- Proficiency with hot irons, curlers, and blow-dryers.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Good verbal communication.
- Physical stamina.
