Responsibilities:
- Conduct engaging Math Olympiad training sessions for Primary and Secondary school students.
- Inspire and motivate students to perform at their best through effective classroom management and positive reinforcement.
- Adapt teaching methods to cater to varying levels of student ability and learning styles.
- Monitor, assess, and track student progress regularly; set and review academic goals.
- Design and deliver well-structured lessons focused on competition-level mathematics, problem-solving skills, and mathematical thinking.
- Develop, vet, and update teaching materials and Olympiad preparation resources.
- Plan and refine lesson content and curriculum to align with competition requirements.
- Mark and provide constructive feedback on students' assignments and mock papers.
- Maintain and manage student portfolios, academic records, and performance reports.
- Build strong rapport with students, parents, and team members to support students' development.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of professional teaching or Math Olympiad training experience.
- Passion for teaching and working with children – must genuinely enjoy engaging with young learners.
- Strong initiative and self-motivation; focused on continuous value creation.
- High standards of work ethic, responsibility, and personal integrity.
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
- Confident in public speaking and facilitating group learning.
- Detail-oriented, dependable, and organized.
- Technologically proficient: comfortable using Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and basic online teaching tools.
- Open, positive attitude and a team-player mindset.
