About the Role:
We are seeking passionate and dynamic teachers to facilitate and deliver high-quality English enrichment programmes on a part-time basis in primary and/or secondary MOE schools across Singapore. Lesson plans and materials will be provided. Your main responsibility will be to engage students and ensure effective delivery of the content, supporting the development of key English language skills such as creative writing, oral communication, comprehension, and critical thinking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate & Deliver Lessons:
Conduct English enrichment lessons using provided lesson plans and materials, ensuring lessons are interactive, engaging, and aligned with MOE standards. - Classroom Management:
Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment that encourages participation and learning. - Assessment & Feedback:
Administer and mark assessments as required. Provide constructive feedback to students and communicate with school coordinators. - Collaboration:
Work closely with school staff and enrichment coordinators to align with school expectations and report on student progress. - Professional Development:
Stay up-to-date with MOE curriculum updates and participate in relevant training when necessary.
Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma holders with relevant experience and a strong proficiency in English language skills.
- MOE-recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGDE, Diploma in Education, NIE certification) preferred but not mandatory .
- At least 1 year of relevant teaching experience in Singapore schools or enrichment/supplementary programmes.
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for helping students develop their English language abilities.
- Familiarity with the latest MOE English syllabus and assessment objectives is an advantage.
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience in drama, debate, public speaking, or creative writing workshops.
- Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities.
- Adaptable, resourceful, and proactive.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
Remuneration:
Pay range: $40 – $70 per hour , depending on experience and qualifications.
Monthly pay range stated here are estimates. Actual pay is dependent on the number of hours clocked.
