The MSc in Applied Gerontology Programme, School of Social Sciences, invites applications for part-time lecturers (PTLs). We are looking for two PTLs who can contribute to teaching in our Programme, each requiring industry and/or academic experience in the following, or closely related, areas:
- Arts, Ageing and Wellbeing – this relates to the interdisciplinary field of arts and health with focus on the use of arts and creative approaches in the context of ageing and aged care
- The Continuum of Care: A Systems Perspectives - multi-disciplinary overview of a range of perspectives, theories, and clinical practices on the continuum of care both Singapore-focused and internationally
Key Responsibilities:
1. Teaching Duties: Development and coordination of course syllabus and course materials, class instruction in physical settings, conducting face-to-face seminars and handling of students’ queries on course matters.
2. Course Assignment Duties: Development of assessment components and grading rubrics, assessing and grading of the continuous assessments, providing feedback to students
Key Requirements:
- PhD or Masters in related fields
- Extensive industry and/or academic experience
- Effective coordination and communication skills
- Strong ability in facilitating classroom-based learning
Other Information:
Part-time Lecturers will be paid on an hourly basis at the rates prescribed for the programme.
The teaching engagement will be on a trimester basis.
