Core responsibilities
This position is responsible for supporting and acting on behalf of the Planning and Finance General Manager in the company’s strategic planning, alignment of all key corporate functions to the organizational strategy and for internal and external reporting of corporate performance. Therefore, they are responsible for managing the whole process of the planning and budgeting which includes – but not limited to:
- Assess the organization’s goals, determining which ones are realistic, and work with the company executives to formulate actionable plans to achieve the said objectives
- Works with other department manager to set the strategy plans into motion
- Create sales and profit estimation to show executives the return of certain investments or other financial recommendations
- Reviewing, monitoring and managing company’s and division’s budgets
- Reporting to management and HQ, and providing advice how the company and future business decisions might be impacted
- Managing and coordinating monthly reporting, budgeting and reforecast processes,
- Supervising P&F staffs
Job requirements
- Degree in accounting, business, economics, finance, or a related field.
- Minimally 10 years of experience in management accounting or financial accounting role.
- Experience of working with group companies or subsidiaries across global-wide, in the field of accounting, finance and business planning
- Excellent understanding of the culture of Japanese company and Japanese management
- Superior mathematical, planning, research and analytical skills,
- Superior leadership skills and solid communication skills both written and verbal,
- Understanding of data privacy standards,
- Computer skills (Excel, Word, PPT, etc)
- Excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills
- Japanese language (JLPT N1 & above or relevant skill) mandatory to communicate with Japan HQ and Japanese Managements including non-English speakers
