PURPOSE:
The Financial Analyst (Pricing) partners with the regional bid team and cross-functional stakeholders throughout the pursuit process to develop robust, data-driven financial cases for outsourcing and managed service opportunities.
This role is responsible for building detailed financial models with multiple scenarios and pricing strategies that ensure competitiveness while meeting customer needs and delivering profitable outcomes.
The analyst will prepare financial justifications for internal approvals, conduct risk analysis, and ensure alignment with company financial objectives. Acting as a key liaison between Finance, Sales, and Operations, the analyst will provide insights that directly influence win strategies and deal structuring.
RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS:
Pricing Strategy & Financial Modelling
- Lead the development of comprehensive financial analyses for pricing options in outsourcing and managed services.
- Build detailed, flexible financial models incorporating multiple pricing scenarios, sensitivity analyses, and profitability metrics.
- Ensure pricing proposals meet both customer requirements and internal financial targets, balancing competitiveness with margin goals.
- Support bid pursuit processes by modelling different deal structures, payment terms, and contractual scenarios.
- Provide recommendations on optimal pricing approaches to maximise win probability while protecting profitability.
Deal Support & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with sales, solution architects, finance, and operations to gather inputs on customers and deal requirements.
- Present pricing strategies, models, and justifications to internal reviewers and senior management to secure approvals.
- Support bid reviews, negotiations, and contract finalization with financial insights and documentation.
- Collaborate closely with commercial teams to assess the financial impact of contract terms and risk clauses.
Process & Risk Management
- Maintain and update pricing tools, templates, and financial databases to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify and quantify potential financial risks in bids and proposals.
- Provide recommendations for risk mitigation strategies and contingency planning in deal pricing.
- Ensure compliance with internal governance, approval processes, and industry regulations.
TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:
- 3 - 5 years of working experience, preferably as an analyst or in pricing/costing analysis
- Advanced financial modelling knowledge in Excel
- Strong understanding of cost structures, revenue recognition, and pricing methodologies.
- Ability to interpret commercial and contractual terms in financial modelling.
- Knowledge of pricing standards, competitive benchmarking and market analysis
- Proficient in accounting standards applicable to service industry
- Excellent communication and presentation skills across all levels of management
- Ability to cope with peak workloads, short deadlines and business pressures and skilled in
prioritizing and managing multiple tasks - Ability to work effectively in diverse, foreign and multi-cultural environments
