Job responsibilities:
The job holder will be assigned the position as Principal Planner and may have, but not limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and update project schedules, monitor progress, and provide reports and analysis to support project management.
- Directs the development and implementation of the project execution plan within the overall project schedule.
- In charge of schedule management, including setting up level 4 critical path schedule and periodic schedule update.
- Identify trends, analyse critical path, and evaluate consequences to the schedule.
- Prepare ‘S’ curves, manpower histograms, rundown curves, and other planning deliverables as required in accordance with project requirements.
- In case of delays, prepare recovery plan in agreement with the project team
- Support Project Manager, Project Planning Manager and other project team with reports for analysis and decision-making.
- Manages and mentors Senior Planner/Planner ensuring effective collaboration and performance.
- Ensure adherence to the internal procedures and policies and drive implementation of new initiatives leading to fully integrated planning
- Assist the tender team with planning inputs as required
- Any other ad hoc planning activities to support the projects / tenders
Work experience requirements:
- Minimum 15 years of relevant project experience in medium to large-scale Oil & Gas (including FPSO) or Wind Energy sectors, with 5 years in a Lead or Principal Planner role.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
Other skills:
- Extensive experience with Primavera, Microsoft Suite and ability to adapt quickly to new IT Tools
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in managing a planning team in a large-scale project
- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills to assess project performance and identify potential issues.
- Effective problem-solving, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with people across various cultures
- Ability to travel at short notice / perform overtime work as required
