ROLE SUMMARY
We are helping our FSI (Financial Services Industry) client to hire a Product Controller for their Metals Desk (Physical)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare, review, and analyze daily P&L statements along with relevant commentary
- Support the review of the Group’s consolidated daily P&L
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with Front Office, Risk, Treasury, FP&A, Tax, and Operations teams, while developing a commercial understanding of business operations
- Perform monthly balance sheet substantiation, ensuring all accounts have proper documentation for review by the Financial Director or Controller
- Drive improvements and automation of Product Control processes, working alongside technology teams to implement efficient solutions
- Support internal and external audit processes
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation for all Product Control activities
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
- 3 – 7 years of experience in a Product Control role covering Hard or Soft Physical Commodities
- Open to look at candidates from the Trading Houses, Producers or the Banks
- Strong knowledge of product control functions, systems, and governance
- Meticulous with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and Front Office personnel
