Job Overview
This role is to assist the Quality Assurance, Testing and Compliance team with managing and processing product testing data reports, and manipulating large data sets to validate against our testing protocols. The candidate should be very comfortable with review product test reports & extracting information, using formulae in Microsoft Excel, possess interest in data analytics related to retail and supply chain management Sector and learning about Home Furnishings. This role will also require support in initiatives in CAD (primarily using Solidworks) and Data Engineering (Python, PowerBi).
We are looking for an intern that is able to commit a minimum of 4-6 months, preferably starting in September, for a minimum of 4 days.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute Spot audit of product test report and cross verification vis-a-vis our testing protocol for accuracy
- Be part of a new Regulatory Compliance system data entry trials, then draft a guide & auditing the overseas team works
- Monthly USA (CPSC) regulatory product recall review for preventive actions:
- Help drive WSI QA team similar product risk assessment
- Execute FMEA study on high-risk products
Learning Scope
- You will learn and view a wide array of product types, compliance needs, learn test reports drafting and auditing
You will hone your skills in reporting and summarizing data in a corporate engineering setting.
- You will be part of the new protocol development process for new products.
- You will see how product testing works through a GIC testing lab visit (in SG).
- You would be involved in a global team of a MNC to understand the dynamics of a global company.

Qualifications & Job Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel (formulae & functions).
- Able to design charts and graphs in Excel.
- Knowledge of Excel VBA and Power BI would be advantageous.
- Knowledge in a data-oriented Programming Language (e.g Python, R) would be strongly preferred
- CAD – Solidworks | 2D Drafting & 3D Modelling (FEA background would be advantageous).
- Strong analytical skills.
- Meticulous with very good attention to detail.
- Organized and able to maintain data files in an organized manner.
