GEAESS is our largest site for engine component Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO), responsible for more than 60% of our global repair volume.
Role Overview:
Lead and review RCCA / Dive and presenting findings and area of improvement
Investigate warranty complaints, high rework areas and workmanship scrap issues with respective teams to reduce overall Cost of Poor Quality.
Liaising with Operations/Engineering to investigate and drive avoidance of repair-induced Departures.
Engagement & training of inspectors and certifying staff to ensure disposition & inspection process
Communicates Quality First culture and Quality improvement plans through Quality corner sessions
Review data of rework, warranty complaints and workmanship scrap from analytics and presenting findings and recommendations for improvements
Ensuring compliance with established company procedures, policies and regulations
Gauging levels of quality risks within business unit and advising on changes to be made
Liaising with Operation & Engineering teams for all quality matters
Support internal audits and perform CAR verifications.
Checking that Process Change Notice (PCN) are accurate and comply with requirements
Liaising with Digital team to support digital transformation projects for Quality
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is able to demonstrate familiar understanding of the Aerospace industry and has worked in the Aerospace industry.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college (or equivalent)
Candidate with relevant aerospace experience in repair/manufacturing or a quality assurance role has added advantage.
Candidate with recognized Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor certification has added advantage
Good command of written and spoken English
Basic knowledge of PC software (Microsoft Office)
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of manufacturing processes (heat treat, welding, shot peening, coating, chemical
processes, non-conventional machining)
Knowledge of RCCA/HF techniques
Knowledge of general aviation legislation and quality systems (ISO9001/AS9100)
Good initiative and analytical skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma tools
