Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and technically competent Project Engineer (Civil) to support civil and structural works for power plant and substation infrastructure projects at Jurong Island. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in industrial or power-related civil works, including substation foundations, structural platforms, and utility buildings. The role requires strong project coordination, site execution, and familiarity with construction standards in a high-risk environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Manager in delivering engineering consultancy and project management services for civil and structural aspects of power plant infrastructure.
- Manage civil engineering activities to meet project goals for cost, schedule, quality, and safety.
- Supervise construction and installation works such as foundations, RC structures, trenches, roadworks, and auxiliary buildings.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution and handover.
- Review civil and structural drawings, method statements, and technical specifications.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, industry standards, and site safety regulations.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and progress; prepare reports and updates for management.
- Support site inspections, quality control, and resolve civil-related issues during construction.
- Liaise with authorities for building permits, inspections, and other statutory requirements.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably involving power plant projects.
- Familiarity with structural and geotechnical design, construction methods, and project planning.
- Strong coordination and communication skills with a proactive, solution-driven mindset.
- Experience working in high-security or restricted-access industrial zones is an advantage.
