Roles & Responsibilities :
- To ensure adherence to Company Policies.
- To perform tasks delegated by the Regional Programme Manager.
- To monitor departmental cost against budget.
- To assist in the preparation of tenders.
- To prepare requisitions for project materials and forward these to the Purchasing Department.
- To prepare requisitions for minor subcontracts in accordance with approved procedures.
- To ensure that the material is controlled in according to the applicable procedures in particular:
- To request release for material received.
- Allocate material to material lists / drawings.
- Prepare material allocation / issue notes.
- To arrange for the disposal of scrap.
- To control the authorised system documentation issued by the QA Department.
- To ensure that procedures are followed and maintained.
- To stimulate personnel in quality, safety and environmental awareness thinking by facilitating training as well as a consistent control regime.
- Providing alternative technological solutions to clients and designers which mitigate environmental impacts and liabilities.
- To ensure correct implementation of the company quality, safety and environmental policy within the company and verify that the company safety and environmental procedure are followed.
- To identify and report possible quality problems to the Company Management and recommend possible solutions for such problems.
- To arrange adequate training for departmental personnel.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with relevant Engineering / Management qualification.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in pipeline and process engineering within the oil and gas industry, including at least 3 years in a project management capacity.
- Prior project experience and good management skills.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making ability.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to influence and mentor a talented team.
