Key Responsibilities:
Develop novel quantum reinforcement learning (QRL) algorithms using variational quantum circuits (VQCs), focusing on the multi-agent setting.
Design and implement efficient credit assignment strategies for quantum multi-agent systems, improving both convergence and policy quality.
Benchmark quantum policies against classical baselines under various cooperative and competitive environments using simulators and, where possible, NISQ-era hardware.
Investigate hybrid quantum-classical frameworks to integrate variational quantum agents with classical coordination mechanisms in multi-agent reinforcement learning (MARL).
Analyze the learning dynamics and scalability of VQC-based agents under limited qubit and noise constraints, identifying the trade-offs between quantum advantage and model complexity.
Contribute to theoretical advancements in understanding the expressivity and optimization landscapes of variational quantum policies for multi-agent systems.
Write high-quality research papers to disseminate key findings at top AI, quantum computing, or reinforcement learning venues (e.g., NeurIPS, AAAI, QIP).
Support experimental evaluations by simulating quantum circuits and conducting ablation studies on learning efficiency and credit attribution effectiveness.
