About the role
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in the estimating and cost control processes for our construction projects. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects and contribute to the overall success of the organisation.
What you will be doing
- Preparing detailed cost estimates and bills of quantities for construction projects
- Analysing and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and other project documentation
- Negotiating and managing subcontractor and supplier contracts
- Monitoring and controlling project costs throughout the construction process
- Providing regular cost reports and forecasts to project managers and stakeholders
- Identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
- Collaborating with the project team to ensure the successful delivery of construction projects
What we are looking for
- Degree equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in local construction industry
- Proficient in using Microsoft Projects and cost estimating software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical information
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with various stakeholders
- Familiarity with construction industry regulations, standards, and best practices
- Proactive and solution-oriented mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement
