RESPONSIBILITIES
The candidate will be responsible for implementing proposed research methods on a project about LLM-based Fact Checking funded by one of the major funding agencies in Singapore. Successful candidate will be part of an active research team led by PI/Co-PI in the School of Computing and Information Systems, Singapore Management University in collaboration with local and international research partners. Candidate's core responsibilities are:
- Conduct routine research and development for the project under the supervision of PI/Co-PI.
- Design and implement core machine learning and optimization algorithms.
- Conduct experimental evaluation of the designed methodology and develop system demonstration.
- Participate in drafting technical reports and research papers.
- Attend regular grouping meeting and discussions.
- Administrate and maintain the hardware/software environment such as development platforms, software packages and toolkits.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Degree in computer science from a reputable institution of higher learning.
- Relevant research experience in Reinforcement Learning, Imitation Learning and Optimization.
- Publications at top AI, Machine Learning, and/or Data Mining venues.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong experience with LLMs, reinforcement/imitation learning and optimization algorithms
- Excellent in programming with Python
- Interests in LLM factuality and their applicability in attacking misinformation and hallucination
- Highly self-motivated, being able to work independently and collaboratively with team members
