We are looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic Freelance Retired Group Fitness Instructor to join us and make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors.
In this role, you will design and lead gentle fitness programs including stretching and strolling sessions that promote physical activity and overall well-being for the seniors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver age-appropriate fitness programs that support mobility, balance, flexibility, and strength for seniors, while aligning with our company's objectives and goals.
- Lead group activities such as stretching and walking sessions in a safe, inclusive, and engaging manner.
- Adapt sessions to meet varying fitness levels of participants.
- Monitor participant progress and adjust programs as needed for effectiveness and safety.
- Conduct recces of stroll locations to assess safety, accessibility, rest areas, and overall suitability for seniors.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a fitness or wellness-related role
- Certification in related field
- Certified First Aider and CPR + AED is preferred
- Experience planning and delivering exercise programs is an asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm and approachable style.
- Enthusiasm for working with seniors.
- Organized, reliable, and safety-conscious.
*Typically each session is about 2.5 hours.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
License/Certification:
- Certification as First Aider (Preferred)
- Certification in CPR/AED (Preferred)
- Certification or training in Fitness or related field (Required)
