The Opportunity
As a Risk & Compliance Analyst, you will be an integral member of the global Risk & Compliance team. You will provide critical practice support on all aspects of risk management, regulatory compliance, and conflicts. This position requires strong administrative skills, a sharp eye for detail, and the ability to build effective working relationships with lawyers and business services staff across the firm's extensive international network.
Key Responsibilities
- Onboarding & Compliance: Assist in the opening of new matters, ensuring all client details are correct. You'll conduct essential KYC, AML, and sanctions searches to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Auditing & Advice: Audit files to verify compliance with firm policies and provide practical, commercial advice on legal and regulatory requirements.
- Training & Support: Provide internal training on KYC and AML to promote best practices throughout the firm.
- Research: Take on research and other ad-hoc projects as needed to support the team and the business.
Key Skills & Experience Required
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a compliance function , preferably within a professional services firm, such as a law firm, banks etc
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a framework of regulatory compliance.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the capability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to build strong internal relationships.
- A high level of proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel .
- A Bachelor of Laws or equivalent degree is a plus, as is prior knowledge of anti-money laundering legislation.
