The Sales Representative for the APAC region is a pivotal role responsible for maximizing sales profitability, growth, and account penetration within the assigned territory. This role focuses on effectively selling AVSystem’s comprehensive solutions, including products and services, with a strong emphasis on the telecommunications industry. The Sales Representative is tasked with personally securing new business and developing, maintaining, and growing relationships with key customers. By coordinating and utilizing AVSystem’s resources across various departments, the Sales Representative ensures that software solutions meet the service management requirements of accounts, driving significant business results.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, forecast, manage, and close sales of AVSystem’s solutions within the assigned territory/accounts.
- Ensure consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through strategic planning, execution, and collaboration with AVSystem’s Marketing, Sales Engineering, Product Management, and Customer Support teams.
- Meet assigned sales quotas through effective planning, relationship building, and process management.
- Develop and deliver client presentations and proposals, and accurately forecast annual, quarterly, and monthly revenue streams.
- Develop strategic account plans and opportunity plans for new business with existing customers and prospects.
- Hunt for new major accounts, with a strong focus on telecommunications. Qualify new opportunities, set specific opportunity timelines, and meet preset deadlines and sales goals for the territory.
- Manage the sales administration function, including required reporting and forecasting in AVSystem’s designated sales management/tracking tools.
Qualifications:
- 7 years of experience in a high-growth telecommunications environment with a focus on Telco OSS/BSS solutions.
- Proven track record of selling both directly and through channel partners, with solid industry and technical knowledge.
- Preferred background in major telecom OSS/BSS software solution vendors.
- Excellent problem-solving, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Effective presentation skills and a strong understanding of telecommunications industry OSS/BSS network environments.
- Established contacts within the industry, including service providers and partners.
- Willingness to travel extensively and work as part of a collaborative team.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
- An advanced degree is a plus.
