Location: Upper Thomson Road
Deployment Days & Hours: Monday to Friday : 7am to 1.30pm
The services required are set out as follows:
1. Be in the Science Lab’s preparation room and science labs during working hours.
2. Preparation and provision of apparatus, equipment and other teaching materials and equipment for lessons as requested by the Science Teachers.
3. Collect and clear away equipment and other teaching material after the lesson, including safely disposing of waste and washing-up apparatus
4. Check for faulty and damaged equipment after each lesson, report to the science teacher and or HOD.
5. Liaise with IT department to keep IT equipment including desktops, notebooks, visualisers and projectors in working condition.
6. Check and replenish first aid box/kit
7. Distribute desk copies and science materials to teachers.
8. Stock management
- To prepare an inventory of stocks twice a year
- To liaise with the HOD to replenish consumables
- To keep a stock book and record breakage and to liaise with the HOD to make replacements.
- To keep a record of apparatus and reference materials loaned to teachers.
9. Special activities
- To maintain any exhibits (including noticeboards, interactive exhibits, life exhibits) placed inside the lab and various parts of the school.
- To support teachers in matters relating to practical assessments.
- To help in preparations for any science exhibition.
- Provide support to science teachers and the HOD in any other related matters.
Requirements:
- Completed Sec 4 education
- With relevant work experience
- With 2 years of work experience in primary school lab.
- With good communication and inter-personal skills
- Work Independent and confidently
- Proficient in Microsoft office.
