[What the role is]

As a member of the IED team, you will collaborate with a dynamic group to develop and implement initiatives that empower startups and SMEs to innovate, commercialise solutions, and expand globally. You will work alongside internal partners to manage innovation and talent schemes, including StartupSG initiatives, Global Innovation Alliance (GIA) programmes, and I&E Fellowship programmes. [What you will be working on]

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with programme offices and technical teams to integrate schemes into grant systems, collaborating with internal stakeholders and vendors to design and implement automated, efficient processes.

  • Lead the review and enhancement of policy guidelines for StartupSG and GIA programmes, ensuring optimal support for startups and SMEs while balancing administrative efficiency with governance requirements.

  • Optimise the operation of StartupSG schemes and GIA programmes, including monitoring programme partners' progress, tracking project outcomes, and overseeing project audits.

  • Build and maintain relationships with external partners to deliver tech-matching, innovation advisory, and talent development schemes.

  • Contribute to high-impact projects that enhance the innovation ecosystem.

  • [If deemed suitable] involvement in Innovation Group's cross-divisional data projects (including relational database management, data visualisation development, AI/ML recommender systems) or Open Innovation Calls implementation.

[What we are looking for]

  • A highly resourceful, digitally savvy self-starter with a background in Business, Engineering, Finance, Accountancy or Technology (other disciplines welcome)
  • Strong knowledge of accountancy, governance, and/or risk management and internal controls
  • Experience in financial statements, internal or operational audits is valuable
  • Excellent team player with strong interpersonal, communication and writing abilities
  • Strategic thinking with robust analytical and reasoning skills
  • Independent, detail-oriented and adept at multi-tasking
  • Keen interest in Singapore's innovation and enterprise ecosystem
