The Datadog Global Events Team is hiring a Senior Event Marketing Manager to lead a new customer event series. The position will report to the Director of Event Marketing. The ideal candidate has 6+ years of event operations and marketing experience, and is comfortable managing multiple international events in a fast-paced environment, under deadline. Travel, both domestic and international, is required and will be approximately 40-50% for this role.
This lead planner position will establish a net-new international “road show” series. We are looking for a candidate with strong project management skills to lead a cross-functional team in this delivery. Development of templates and reliance on industry best practices will be a priority in an effort to scale this series for execution in 2025. CMP preferred.
What You’ll Do:
Project Management
- Develop and execute templates for organizing cross-functional teams, meeting project milestones and keeping stakeholders informed.
- Lead weekly meetings involving stakeholders from product marketing, brand, events, comms and other orgs to ensure alignment and progress.
- Collaborate on a comprehensive communications strategy including: promotional emails, social media and other first-line communications to customers.
- Maintain internal communication portals, including: project web pages on Confluence, slide decks for leadership and team updates, and dashboards for registration and sales leaderboard reporting.
- Support builds for event website landing and registration pages.
Event Reporting and Analytics
- Measure and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, using data to inform future marketing strategies.
- Analyze event performance and provide reports on attendee engagement.
Event Logistics
- Coordinate venue logistics, including catering menus, AV requirements and an environmental branding approach.
- Procure and oversee appropriate vendors to support onsite execution, including temp staff, DMCs/agencies or other production staff.
- Ability to travel onsite for events and oversee execution of event.
Who You Are:
- Event Marketer with 6-8 years working on international programs in team setting (B2B/tech preferred).
- Demonstrated experience leading team-approach events.
- Experience working with agencies and managing multiple vendors successfully.
- A highly organized and resourceful individual who is able to work independently and simultaneously on multiple projects
- Creative, innovative, curious and results driven
- Solutions oriented and willing to jump into a variety of tasks
- CMP preferred
