Job Description
The successful incumbent will be part of the Cabin Crew Rostering Department within Flight Operations Division.
Key Responsibilities
- To manage the planning, optimisation and publication of monthly cabin crew rosters, through the development of strategies, scenario analysis, rule reviews and adjustment of roster parameters and enhancements in JCR and CM systems.
- One of the four executives to manage the timely publication of over 9,000 cabin crew rosters every month to ensure accuracy and compliance to regulatory and industrial rules.
- To plan, support and roster the training (i.e. both regulatory and service trainings) of existing crew population and new cabin crew trainees to ensure that they are operationally qualified to operate on the various aircraft types, and are trained on new aircraft types (i.e. are multi-fleeted) to support the operational needs of the ramped up network. Timely injection of new crew to support operations is also crucial for ease of deployment and operational resilience.
- As all crew are fleeted on different aircraft types, e.g. some crew will be trained only on A380/B777/B787/A350, some trained on B737/B777/B787/A350, etc., fairness in terms of flying hours and allowances are to be maintained amongst the crew cohort though they are fleeted differently. Analysis and adjustments to the system parameters is to be made to ensure that rosters are planned with the same fairness, accuracy, quality and timeline.
- Quick to respond to operational changes pertaining o network and aircraft changes, to ensure that amendments are made prior to roster publication.
- Good communication and working relationship with Cabin Crew Division colleagues, the union (SIASU) and the crew population to convey roster issues, changes, etc. And to respond to crew’s queries pertaining to rosters and fairness.
- The executives manages the rostering team of 13 staff (3 Senior Associates and 10 Associates).
Requirements
- A good degree, preferably in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Engineering or Information Technology.
- Experience in IT Projects is preferred.
- A team player, with positive attitude.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Excellent planning and organisation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
